What are your seasonal drop-off hours?

Through regular and bow season we're generally around 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Evenings are mainly for fresh harvest drop-offs. Hours shift with hunting schedules and workload, so call or message before heading over.

When do you start accepting whole deer?

Whole deer intake begins around mid-October. Boneless processing will open sooner as the shop is finalized.

What are your 2026 November firearms season hours?

Nov. 14–24, 2026, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Even then, call or message before heading over.

Do you accept whole deer?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Bring it gutted with the hide on and properly cared for. We don't accept ungutted deer.

Do you accept boneless meat?

Accepted Answer

Yes. It needs to be clean, bagged and labeled.

Is burger included in standard deer processing?

Accepted Answer

No. Grinding is a separate service you choose at check-in — lean or an 85/15 venison-pork blend.

Can I get burger without added pork?

Yes. Just ask for lean, no added pork.

What deposit is required?

Accepted Answer

A deposit is taken at check-in and applied to your total. You're welcome to pay more up front, and unusually large specialty orders may require a larger deposit.

How quickly do I need to pick up my order?

We ask that orders be picked up within 7 days of the call telling you it's ready. A daily storage fee applies after that, and after 30 days orders are subject to Lampoons' unclaimed-product policy.

Are specialty products priced by raw or finished weight?

Raw/wet weight, before cooking, smoking or packaging.

What is the specialty-meat minimum?

5 lb per product and per flavor. Five pounds of Honey BBQ sticks and five pounds of Teriyaki sticks are two separate batches.

Do you offer trophy caping?

Yes, for an additional charge. Tell us at check-in before we start skinning.

How are standard cuts packaged?

Standard cuts are wrapped in freezer paper and frozen.

How do you keep orders organized?

Every animal gets an order number and an intake sheet, and we use a simple physical tracking system to keep meat and specialty batches clearly identified through the process.

Can you refuse an animal or meat?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Lampoons reserves the right to refuse any animal or meat we believe has not been properly handled — spoiled, contaminated, dirty or otherwise unsuitable.
